Hi,
I need a chance to access files on my device. SMB server will be fine, or ftp …
I read some documents but no chance. Some documents describe a ‘WebInterface’ which doen#t exist and others using special hardware, we dont have and we cant use,
Is there any chance to get access to one directory of the devices file system?
Any samole out?
With best regards
Gerhard
Hi @Gerhard ,
Unfortunately SMB Server is not supported on CE8 anymore. Use FTP or switch to CE7 (if it’s an option) where SMB Server is still supported.
If you need it only for debugging purposes, you could do all your debugging on CE7 and just rebuild for CE8 at the end before releasing. CE7 still offers more convenient debug functionalities (also Supports Windows Mobile Device center over USB)
Hi Germano,
the SoM is part of an scientific instrument which gathers data. And the users need a way to get this data remotely.
For me in the lab it is no problem to take the USB stick out and use my PC or laptop …
I don’t know what the developer at MS thinking, as they creat an OS version without a chance to transfer data easily …
It is also a problem without GMS/LTE modem, but I found a box which is able to connect devices with ethernet interface to LTE and WiFi. This is pretty cool. Unfortunately this box uses a lot of energy.
