What exact Toradex Easy Installer version are you talking about? And did you follow the following article on our developer website concerning board setup and procedure?

Did you set the SoM to recovery mode? If yes, how?
By “what exact Toradex Easy Installer version” I meant whether you are talking about version 1.8 or 2.0b2?
If you indeed only do have the Viola V1.2B carrier board rather than the Viola Plus V1.2B one then, I’m afraid, there is actually no easy way to run the Toradex Easy Installer due to it completely missing any USB device aka client receptacle X4 (USB micro-AB type). Please note that the Viola is a minimalistic production only carrier board not suitable for development. I, therefore, suggest you use any other carrier board instead.
