LVDS signal on Verdin iMX8M Plus direct connection to display with 3.3V logic?

Hi all,

will it be OK to connect the LVDS signals on Verdin iMX8M Plus module directly without levelshifting the signals for a display where the logic runs at 3.3V? Can you provide me with some guidance? Thanks a lot!

LVDS which stands for low-voltage differential signaling indeed had nothing to do with regular 1.8 or 3.3 volt TTL signaling and therefore typically won’t need any level-shifting done. However, any other auxiliary signal like backlight (brightness, enable), display on or touch related signals most likely might require level-shifting.
