Currently I have a Ixora Carrier Board V1.1A with a Apalis iMX8 V1.0A module connected. And I think Apalis module was fried because it doesn’t even respond to recovery mode.
When I read the description of Ixora Carrier Board product page it says;
Ixora V1.1 is compatible with all Apalis modules except for Apalis iMX8 and TK1 SKUs
Ixora V1.2 is compatible with all Apalis modules
Other then this information above I couldn’t find anything about which version of Ixora Board supports which version of apalis imx8 modules. So I need to verify if my Ixora board supports new versions of apalis imx8 module.

For the Apalis IMX8QM, you need at least the IXORA 1.2A carrier since this module needs more power and the IXORA 1.1A can not deliver it.
I don’t think that the old carrier broke the module it is more likely that it can not start because of a to high power draw that can’t be met by the IXORA v1.1.
There is a way to mod the IXORA 1.1A to deliver more current Ixora Carrier Board
but I would recommend getting a new IXORA .
Also the IMX8 V1.0A is an old early acces module you should at least get the Apalis iMX8QM 4GB WB IT V1.1B .
