Let’s try to isolate the issue first. So you’re saying when you play an mp4 video that it’s “choppy”. You asked a question before about playing mp4 videos here: Verdin plus and gstream
In that thread, I did a quick test where I played mp4 videos in a container (just gstreamer no Crank storyboard). From what I recall from that test the video playback was smooth. If you just do that, is the video playback smooth?
I’m trying to figure out where this “choppiness” is coming from since I didn’t observe it when playing back mp4 videos on my setup. If it’s the Crank Storyboard part that is making the video playback choppy then we’ll need to discuss this with Crank.
