Imx processor core temperature

Hi How can i read the processor core temperature for imx7 module?

Processor core temperature on Colibri iMX7 can be obtained by reading ‘/sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp’ file.

e.g.:

root@colibri-imx7:~# cat /sys/devices/virtual/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp
36000

is this in degree celcius?

No, you have to divide the value by 1000 to get the temperature in degree celsius as described here.

No, millidegree Celsius as per the following:

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/tree/Documentation/hwmon/sysfs-interface

this doesn’t work using torizon core
ID=torizon-upstream
NAME=“Torizoncore Upstream”
VERSION=“5.1.0-devel-202011+build.4 (dunfell)”
VERSION_ID=5.1.0-devel-202011-build.4
PRETTY_NAME=“Torizoncore Upstream 5.1.0-devel-202011+build.4 (dunfell)”

Thanks for your input. This question was about Linux Bsp. Could you ask a new question regarding Torizon?

Thanks and best regards,
Jaski
