How to configure USBO1 as USB3 host on Apalis TK1?

Configuration:
Apalis TK1 on an Ixora V1.1a carrier board.
I’m using a Yocto-based image with a Toradex-Linux kernel.

Situation:
X8 top - USBH4 is a USB3 host: functional
X8 bottom - USBO1 is a USB2 host and has read errors
X9 - USB01 is an USB2 host: functional

Problem:
I would like to configure the X8 bottom connector as a USB3 host (xhci).
In the current situation this port returns read errors when I connect a USB device:

Placing or removing jumper JP2 should make a difference, but it doesn’t.
How can I configure X8 bottom to be a USB3 host?

What exact hardware and software versions of things are you talking about?

Apalis TK1 2GB V1.1A
Yocto on Morty branch
Linux Toradex 3.10.40
Linux driver package 21.6.0-r6

I don’t think any such is still supported. Please update to our latest BSP 2.8b4 at your earliest convenience and try again.
