How to access GPIO Pins on IMX6ULL connected to WIFI Module

Currently we are using a Colibri iMX7D module in my application. We use the pins 111, 113, 115 and 117 as GPIO inputs connected to a DIP switch on our carrier.
Since we want to integrate WiFi into our product, we chose to evaluate the Colibri iMX6ULL Wifi module. We got all working well, except the mentioned GPIOs.

Can you provide us with information how the given pins can be used as GPIO inputs with the new module? The datasheet clearly states, that the pins are connected to the embedded WiFi module (e.g. WM828CC6 Pin 35 for SODIMM pin 111).

Hi steff

Thanks for your question. According to the Datasheet on pages 30/31 of Colibri iMX6ULL these pins are used as an UART Interface for the Bluetooth part. Additionally, the strapping circuitry on the module has to be changed for that. In other words, unfortunately, these pins can’t be used as GPIOs.
