Factory program kit for Colibri iMX6 module

Do you have any factory programming kit for Colibri iMX6 modules containing hardware with ZIF Sockets and other required software package for efficiently loading CE7/WEC2013 image, configurations, registry files to the new modules (which comes with Linux as default?)

Any suggestions?

Dear marifhossain, We don’t have any special hardware to program modules which we can send to customers. Most customers either use one of our standard carrier boards, e.g. the Colibri Evaluation Board or the Iris Carrier Baord to load their software, or they directly use their target hardware to load the software if possible. At the moment you could use the process described on our developer website to load your image to a module: http://developer.toradex.com/knowledge-base/production-programming-for-imx6-modules We are working on a new tool called “Toradex Easy Installer” which will be pre-installed on Colibri iMX6 modules in the future (we will announce this through a PCN of course). It will allow you to program modules even easier. You can find the description also on our developer website. We currently have a first drop of the tool available for Apalis iMX6. A version for Colibri iMX6 will follow during Q1 2017. http://developer.toradex.com/software/toradex-easy-installer

Is there a way to boot Win CE from linux through USB stick instead of the SD memory? It would make our life easier if we could do so as our SD socket is not exposed outside of the product package.

@marifhossain

Hi

What are you trying to do?
i.e. How would you do this when you could use the SD memory?
