Error on running a firmware on cortex m4 from u-boot using m4boot in Colibri VF61

While running a firmware on cortex m4 from u-boot using m4boot in Colibri VF61 it seems to have an error while doing the step “$ mkimage -f vybridm4.its vybridm4-freertos.itb”. The error is attached below. Can anyone please find me the solution for this. I followed the steps from the site “FreeRTOS on the Cortex-M4 of a Colibri VF61

The error is probably due to a missing device tree compiler. Install the device-tree-compiler package.

Note that with newer BSP (and I recommend using 2.7 based images) we recommend using elf binaries and bootaux as described in the Using bootaux section.

hi @stefan.tx

I’m using 2.6 based image. But got the same error message even after installing device-tree-compiler package. What could be the reason?

Can you check whether executing just dtc works?

No I think its not working. when executed in terminal it just got stuck and nothing happens

Can you send a log of this in a text file? Thanks.
