Colibri IMX6 with Toradex supplied linux image has no DVI display

I have an Iris carrier board to evaluate various Colibri modules. I received a new Colibri iMX6 module today. It was delivered with a Toradex supplied linux image. I can see the boot sequence and login via the debug port (RS-232). But I don’t see anything on the DVI display.

On the same carrier board when I plug in a Colibri T30 module (linux image), the DVI display works fine. I made sure the small ribbon cable that connects the module to the carrier board was plugged in for my tests.

After logging in via the debug port do I need to set or enable something to get the DVI port to work?

The default display interface is set to lcd with VGA resolution have at look at here.
To enable the DVI-D aka HDMI interface one will need to set the U-Boot environment variable vidargs accordingly, have a look at this article for more information.
