Bump Mapping in IMX.6Q

Hi All!

I have a question for 3D graphics experts. Is bump mapping efficient on the GPU of Apalis imx.6 quad ?. Or is it better to embed a mosaic image? Thank you.

Not really a graphics expert, but I guess this also depends on how exactly you create the bump mapping (e.g. reuse vectors or not…) and how fine your bumps are… I would guess this is application specific, you can’t really make a general statement.

Probably the easiest way is to try it out and monitor/profile performance. The i.MX 6 BSP from NXP comes with a PDF named i.MX_6_Graphics_User's_Guide.pdf which might be helpful.
