Dear Toradex Support Team,
I am currently working with a Verdin iMX8MP and am experiencing difficulties with the Bluetooth functionality. I have followed several troubleshooting steps but have been unable to connect to or list any Bluetooth devices.
Issue Details
After enabling Bluetooth via bluetoothctl on the device, I am able to:
- Start the Bluetooth service and confirm it is running.
- Enter the bluetoothctl interface and execute power on, scan on, and discoverable on commands.
- View the Agent registered and Discovery started messages, indicating that Bluetooth appears to be active.
However, even with scanning enabled, I am unable to detect any nearby devices, including a smartphone in pairing mode that I have placed close to the Verdin iMX8MP. Additionally, attempts to pair with the smartphone manually using its MAC address have also been unsuccessful.
Troubleshooting Steps Performed
I have tried several troubleshooting commands, including:
- Restarting the Bluetooth service with sudo systemctl restart bluetooth.
- Verifying Bluetooth adapter status using hciconfig and manually setting it to UP.
- Inspecting logs with dmesg | grep -i bluetooth and journalctl -u bluetooth for any errors, but have not found any clear indications of the problem.
- Rebooting the system and re-attempting the Bluetooth scan and connection sequence.
Environment
- Device: Verdin iMX8MP
- OS: Torizon
I would appreciate any guidance or additional steps you could recommend for resolving this issue. If there are any firmware updates, configuration files, or diagnostic logs that could assist, please let me know, and I will provide them.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Ravi Vanand
